Realmap
As Australia's first real estate search engine, RealMap was developed with 2 goals in mind:
1. To help consumers find their dream home faster.
Using the latest Web 2.0 technologies consumers can browse property
listings, neighbourhood features and price trends all in an easy-to-use
Google Map interface (even Google Earth!). Using RealMap, buyers save
time and make better decisions. House-hunting has never been easier!
2. To provide real estate agents with more control and better value.
Developed in close consultation with some of Australia's leading real
estate agents, RealMap was designed from scratch to support the agency
model. By receiving qualified buyers through to their own website,
agents are in full control of the conversion process. Here's a quick
summary of what RealMap is all about:
 We are pro-agent and do not list properties for sale by private sellers.
RealMap is not your old style, closed system portal. We're built around
the latest Web 2.0 technologies and philosophies giving consumers
better tools and agents more control.
We have no underlying industry bias and will equally promote listings
from all agencies whether franchised or independent, city or country,
big or small.
RealMap currently lists residential properties for sale anywhere in Australia with support for rentals coming soon.
We respect the interests of the vendor and the rights of the listing
agent. Agents can choose to hide or display list prices and addresses
(it simply won't be plotted onto the map).
RealMap was developed by a team of programmers who operate a Deloitte
Technology Fast 50 company in the Internet retail sector.
